Having trained at the Ackerman Institute, my approach is grounded in relational and deeply humanistic principles. I also recognize that the body often holds and communicates experiences that cannot always be articulated verbally. For this reason, I integrate mindfulness and somatic experiencing into my practice. I offer unique therapeutic support and perspective for BIPOC, immigrant, and queer modern professionals navigating intergenerational patterns as they chart their path forward in their own lives and relationships. I look forward to supporting you in this process!

“While working alongside Tyra, I consistently witnessed her exceptional patience and grounded clinical presence. Tyra brings a thoughtful, intuitive approach to therapy that creates a sense of safety and trust for a wide range of clients, including those living outside of traditional norms. It has been a privilege to collaborate with Tyra, as she approaches her work with such care, integrity, and deep respect for each person’s lived experience.”
“Tyra is a deeply attuned and skilled therapist who helps clients understand their inner world and make meaningful shifts in the patterns that no longer serve them. She brings a compassionate, grounded presence to her work and draws from training in family and alternative therapeutic approaches to meet each person where they are. Clients often experience her as both insightful and supportive, creating a space that feels safe, intentional, and transformative”
“I’ve had the opportunity to see Tyra’s work up close, and what stands out most is how deeply present and thoughtful she is with the people she serves. She has a natural way of helping clients feel at ease while also gently challenging them to grow. She listens carefully, notices patterns others might miss, and brings a steady and compassionate presence to the room. I consistently see clients feel supported, respected, and empowered in her care. I would wholeheartedly trust Tyra with someone I care about.”
